How to eliminate muscle soreness at a dance festival?
Dancing for 2,3,4 or more days in a row can be very physically demanding and most of us can feel it in our bodies.
My tips to keep your body happy during the festivals are:
1. A lot of big festivals have their onsite masseuse. Take advantage of this service and treat yourself a relaxing full body massage.
2. If your festival offers a stretching/yoga class-make sure to attend! Stretching helps your muscles to regenerate and recover from prolonged dancing and you will be ready to dance another day (and night) away.
3. Drinking plenty of water is essential. Have your water bottle always with you and sip regularly
4. Eat protein. We burn a lot of calories as we dance. Make sure to fuel your body with the right nutrients to keep yourself energized and keep your muscles happy and nourished.
